ZAHARA DE LOS ATUNES, CAÑOS DE MECA, TRAFALGAR and BARBATE

ZAHARA DE LOS ATUNES

Zahara de los Atunes is one of our favourite beaches. It's deep, has fine yellow sand and good swimming. There are plenty of bars and restaurants. The whole place has a positive vibe. Haven't been for a while.

CAÑOS DE MECA

A charming spot, home to a  small playa nudista, the beach in the photo, I think. I went there once and stripped off, but I felt a bit out of place. All the other naturists were young and beautiful, whereas I am old .....  and beautiful!

Just along the coast is .....

TRAFALGAR

Cabo de Trafalgar (Cape Trafalgar). That's it - a beach and a lighthouse. But it's where the famed Battle of Trafalgar took place and Admiral Nelson lost an eye or an arm or was killed!

BARBATE

I went to Barbate once, with my girlfriend of the time, Maude. We were on our way to Cadiz and thought we'd check it out. A bit grubby, if I'm honest. I have no plans to return.
